Marillian Buono Missiti, President 

Marillian received a B.A. from Lesley University in Management and received the Purdue
University's Pest Managment Certification. Marillian has over 25 years
experience in the pest control industry and is past President of the New England
Pest Management Association and 2015 recipient of the Bartlett Eldredge
Award. Currently she is a board member for the Watertown-Belmont Chamber
of Commerce.

Steven A. Buono, Chief Operating Officer

Steve has over 30 years experience in the pest control industry. Steve's experience in the field of
construction has extended the company's reach into exclusion and repair. His
experience in construction enables him to specialize in environmentally friendly
pest exclusion. His personality, strong ethics and a desire to assure quality
service has been a perfect fit to communicate to clients as well as educating and
training employees.

Benedict J. Buono Jr., Founder

Ben was born and raised in Waltham, MA, the oldest of nine children. Ben graduated from Newton North
High School and then attended Santa Barbara City College. He joined the Army
in 1967. Served in Germany in 1968 and in Vietnam in 1969. Ben liked biology
and with his Boy Scout and military training, pest control was a great fit. He
started his business, Buono Pest Control in 1978 in Belmont. One of his proudest
moments was being President of the New England Pest Management Association
from 1995-1996 and winning a
Bart Eldredge award in 2004.


Buono Pest Control is a member of New England Branch of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science, Watertown Belmont Chamber of Commerce, the National Pest Management Association, the New England Pest Management Association (of which Ben Buono was past President 1995-1996 and Marillian Missiti was past President 2011-2012 ), the Northwest Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides, Bio-Integral Resources Center, NPMA Quality Pro and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program  to stay abreast and informed in our industry. Our professionally trained personnel and Certified Technicians are ready to safely service your pest control needs. We continue to be active in the development and education of IPM principals.



The New England Pest Management Association (NEPMA), founded in 1933, is an organization of Pest Management Professionals from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Working in collaboration with the National Pest Management Association, they provide education and promote professionalism for the pest control industry.


The National Pest Management Association more than 6,000 members from around the world, was established in 1933 to support the pest management industry's commitment to the protection of public health, food and property. This commitment is reflected both in the continuing education of the pest management professional and the dissemination of timely information to homeowners and businesses.

  • To carry out the program of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science at the local level.
  • To promote fellowship and cooperation among those interested in the objectives of NEBAALAS.
  • To cooperate with other branches in the exchange of information and in the coordination of efforts concerning laboratory animal science.
  • To assist the four other Branches which comprise District 1 in the sponsorship of the annual District 1 training session.
  • To sponsor and to provide educational and training programs for members and others that are professionally engaged in the production, care, use, and study of laboratory animals.
